Lung Specialists to Begin Seeing Patients in Evergreen
Pulmonary Associates, the largest pulmonary and critical care group on the Gulf Coast, will begin treating patients with lung disorders in Evergreen beginning, Tuesday, July 1st.
Dr. Robert I. Garver, Jr., a native of San Francisco, CA and pulmonologist with Pulmonary Associates of Mobile, will see patients in Evergreen every other Tuesday. Dr. Garver completed his B.A. in Biology at Boston University, and his M.D. at Johns Hopkins University. He completed a residency in Internal Medicine at Johns Hopkins Hospital, and subsequently his fellowship in Pulmonary Disease at the National Heart Lung and Blood Institute in Bethesda, MD. He joined the Pulmonary Division at UAB where he focused on thoracic oncology and became Professor of Medicine. More recently, he completed a Critical Care Medicine fellowship at UAB while continuing his faculty duties. This recent experience rekindled his interest in hands-on patient care. Although he will continue performing part-time teaching duties at UAB, Dr. Garver is thrilled to be joining Pulmonary Associates where he will devote the majority of his professional effort.
