Good news for Evergreen residents: Treatment for chronic pain is now more convenient than ever! On February 22, 2013 Comprehensive Pain & Rehabilitation expanded their clinical practice availability to Evergreen Medical Center on Fridays. Dr. Hunt Hapworth and Shireen Tate, CRNP, see patients at Evergreen Medical Center’s Specialty Clinic, located at 100 Lewis Street. To schedule an appointment, call 251-625-2228.

Comprehensive Pain and Rehabilitation (CPR) is a multidisciplinary organization devoted to the diagnosis and treatment of chronic pain using an integrated program of interventional pain medicine, behavioral medicine, and functional rehabilitation. The goal of the practice is to reduce pain and its negative impact so patients can live more productive, satisfying lives.

“We have several patients and referring physicians in the Evergreen-Brewton area, so we're pleased to open this satellite clinic on Fridays and be more available to them,” says Dr. Hapworth of CPR. A graduate of the University of Virginia School of Medicine, Dr. Hapworth completed his Residency in Anesthesiology at UAB in Birmingham, AL, and his Fellowship in Pain Medicine at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, VA. He is licensed by the American Board of Anesthesiology and the American Board of Pain Medicine.

An Evergreen native, Shireen Tate, received her BA, MS, and MSN degrees from UAB and is certified in Family and Palliative Care. Prior to joining CPR, Tate worked with Life South, the American Red Cross and Alabama CARES. “There is so much you can do to help people with chronic pain, and I'm especially pleased to serve people in my hometown again,” Tate says.
